AUD to GBP Exchange Rate News and Forecasts

The Australian Dollar to Pound Sterling (AUD/GBP) exchange rate has seen marked movement over the last five years.

While Australia’s economy was outstripping the UK’s the AUD/GBP currency pair was trading in the region of 0.68 pence. However, as the UK’s fortunes improved and both external and domestic factors had an adverse impact on Australian growth, the Australian Dollar to Pound Sterling exchange rate fell to a low of 0.53 pence in 2014.

With the Bank of England (BoE) moving towards policy normalisation and the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) maintaining steady interest rates, further AUD/GBP weakness could be on the cards.
